Untitled, Fredonia University, 2024
As part of the New York State Summer School of the Arts (NYSSSA) program, I exhibited an oil gallon at the University of Fredonia, illuminating the oil disasters in the Niger Delta.
Through the interplay of sound, light, and imagery, the installation brought attention to the far-reaching effects of petroleum extraction, echoing the struggle and resilience of the local communities.
The experience was immersive and contemplative, asking viewers to reflect on environmental responsibility and our shared stake in ecological justice.
